February 5, Tracking Workshop
10 am, free admission

Linda Spielman, naturalist and tracker has worked in the field of environmental education for 20 years. Tracking is a great way to learn about your animal neighbors. The group will focus on identifying animals from their tracks and interpreting their movements in the landscape. There is always something to learn, no matter what your previous experience, so come out and see how much you can observe a simple set of footprints. We'll be doing some light hiking, but dress warmly. Tracking is not as vigorous as most other winter activities. All ages welcome.

March 25, Maple Sugarin’ Day
8 am - 1 pm

Everything located at our Education Center located at 3277 Gracie Road. For Central New Yorkers, the coming of spring isn't marked by the calendar. It's marked by plumes of steam coming from sugar houses in full swing. That's the signal to shed a layer and shake off months of cabin fever. For generations, making syrup has been more than a tradition- it's been a rite of passage from winter to spring. The Maple Sugarin’ Day is held in conjunction with the BOCES New Visions Environmental Science Class.

Pancake Breakfast - open at 8 am
Members: $5, $2 under 12
Nonmembers: $7, $3 under 12
