Health Policy

The health and safety of our participants, staff, and their families are of the utmost importance to us and we ask that you err on the side of caution when making decisions on whether to attend Lime Hollow programs.  Please help keep the Lime Hollow community safe from illness by staying home if you or your children are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of a communicable disease.

The outline below is a general guideline to help program participants decide when to come to programs/classes. Lime Hollow reserves the right to alter these guidelines based on specific circumstances including, but not limited to, specific diseases (i.e. norovirus may have more stringent guidance), program type (indoor vs. outdoor), type of spread in the program and regionally, at the advice of local health authorities, etc.

If a program participant has any of the following within 24 hours of class they should not come to class:

  • Fever

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • A diagnosed communicable disease or condition including, but not limited, to COVID-19*, cold, flu, pink-eye, hand-foot-mouth, lice, scabies, etc.

Please notify Lime Hollow if anyone in your family has a communicable disease so that we can be alert to the possible spread of illness at class.

Illness at class

If a program participant becomes ill while at Lime Hollow, the participant will be removed from the program and a parent or emergency contact will be notified to pick them up.

Signs of illness include:

  • Fever

  • Lethargy

  • Controlled cough or mucus discharge

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Other symptoms associated with communicable diseases.

Program participants may return only when the cause of those symptoms has been resolved, they have been fever free without fever-reducing medication for 24 hours, and they are feeling better.
